Michael Klug

golden age gamer

Class of 2017 Inductee

Michael has the coveted achievement of being listed in the 1987 Guinness Book of World Records for the high score on Pole Position 2, as well as going back-and-forth between having the #1 or #2 score on the original Pole Position, one of the most contested achievements in video game history.

Atari noticed the scoring achievements on their highly innovative driving game and soon Michael was working at his dream job with his favorite game creator.

He ran the QA department for seven years before advancing as an Associate Producer, Game Designer and Level Designer for the next few years, including being on the development team for Hydro Thunder, one of the first arcade games to use commodity PC components.

He later went on to work at both Konami and Namco for many years, building and running their QA departments and eventually joined his Atari alumni at Tikgames and Monclarity to work on more Casual and Mobile games.

Other notable gaming achievements include being the number one player in the world on games such as Subspace and Grand Theft Auto IV Cops ‘n Crooks.
